Merry Christmas for 2012

Seasons Greeting to you all. I hope you have a safe and Happy Christmas .
We enjoyed our Turkey, Ham, Prawns and roast vegetables and salad outside on the patio under the shade cloth with our close family friends.

After the main meal we moved to our friends house to play a little Tennis, or in my case, try to actually hit the ball and enjoy more of the beautiful weather.
Now we are enjoying our well earned rest. Not too much eating, not too much alcohol, good friends and fine weather. Pretty good down under today!

Reading Diary - Arsenic bugs, Food, Cities and Sixth Wave

As Christmas duties have suddenly reached their peak I have found my reading and other activities taking a back step. But the discovery of Arsenic life forms by NASA has reawakened the reading habit.
Recent titles & web info include:

• NASA announces Arsenic based bacterium (note to Tony: "Stop the arsenic bugs!")
• The coming famine : the global food crisis and what we can do to avoid it by Julian Cribb.(Interesting and informative)
• Lifeboat cities by Brendan Gleeson (didn't like this one)
• American Grist Website - Climate change info. (Don't try the article on Chesapeake Bay chicken factories!)
• New Inventors James H Moody "The sixth wave" - intro interesting, so need to read more!
• "Love and the Platypus" by Nicholas Drayson for my book club!

So that's more than enough to keep me busy for quite a while, especially since its started raining yet again!
