Holiday Time

Now that the schools have gone back its time for my annual holiday. The mad scientists in the family are hard at work and the small business doesn't really allow for holiday's so I go on my own. How they survive without a decent holiday each year is beyond me!
So to offset my travel I turned to my account at Climate Positive. But in October they went out of business and donated their money's to various environmental charities. I'm not certain what happened to my information and previous Carbon Offsets but hopefully have gone to a good cause. Climate Positive said: "plummeting price of carbon offset products in the voluntary market has made the business model unviable."

So I have offset my carbon usage elsewhere.

I will enjoy my holiday as I breathe fresh air, get some exercise,  hopefully miss some of the February heat and generally have fun with members of the older generation. After all, they in particular are at the age that the sands of time are running out.

When I get back I'm fully expecting to pay for my time off with a dirty fridge, the need to buy heaps of fresh vegies and restock the freezer, with unpaid bills, floors covered in clothes and belongings and all the other things a household of men generally won't think to do. Yesterday's rain means the garden, such as it is, will survive.
All members of the family can cook, do dishes and wash their clothes, all have transport and all have employment.

In this world, much to be thankful for.
